People of Ogun State have been urged to be patient with Governor Dapo Abiodun in his task to take the State to the next level, as it takes painstaking and good temperament to govern and deliver judiciously, the dividends of democracy.

Former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel made this known while interacting with newsmen during a courtesy call on the Governor at his office in Abeokuta, saying the visit was to encourage and assure him of his full support.

Otunba Daniel said he has no doubt that the present administration would perform excellently, describing Governor Abiodun as an experienced politician and business man, who was set to create new ideas and innovation for the betterment of the State.

"I don't have any doubt in my mind, he is painstaking, he doesn't rush to do anything; when you want to govern Ogun State, you must be somebody with this type of temperament. I am impressed and happy that he has sustained the momentum. The state is progressing", he said.

Commenting on the visit of the former Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun said the visit was in line with his administration’s stance to offer an inclusive government, saying that his door was open to everyone, regardless of party affiliations.

"For me, I have said this government will uphold all the tenets of good governance, which will be inclusive, participatory, transparent, accountable, equitable and obey the rule of law. This is in line with what we have preached. My door is open to everyone, regardless of their party affiliations", he said.

The Governor, who seized the medium to explain the delay on the handing over of 100 patrol vehicles and 200 motorcycles recently launched to the Ogun State Police Command, said this was imperative, as there was need to put in place, a comprehensive state-wide communication gadget on the vehicles.
