OGUN GOVERNOR, ABIODUN LAUDS ACOMORAN FOR OPERATIONAL REFORMS
Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has lauded the State Chapter of the Amalgamated Commercial Tricycle and Motorcycle Owners, Repairs, Riders Association of Nigeria (Acomoran) for its ingenuity at putting in place various operational reforms in the Union's activities which has resulted into peaceful co-existence in the commercial motorcycles operations in the State. Abiodun stated this during the one-year anniversary of the Union's State Executive and presentation of empowerment materials held at the Union's Secretariat in Abeokuta. Abiodun who was represented by his Senior Special Adviser on Political Affairs, Rt. Hon. Tunji Egbetokun, appreciated the administrative and leadership styles of the executive which had made the union recorded laudable achievements within record time. Tasking them to ensure improved support for the present administration, Governor Abiodun admonished the union to step up measures towards sensitizing motorcycle riders on the need to comply with traffic rules and regulations. In his speech, the National President of the Union, Prince Samsudeen Apelogun applauded the Governor for sustaining enabling environment to enable lawful businesses in the transportation sector thrive without any bottleneck. He thereafter, appreciated the members for sustaining peaceful co-existence amongst themselves, urging them to further prioritize the progress of the union. He noted that the union had part of its empowerment scheme decided to giving out operational vehicles to members of the State Executive and another 125 units of Bajaj Motorcycle which were to be distributed to branches across the State. Earlier in his welcome address, the State Chairman of the Acomoron, Mr. Kayode Showunmi who acknowledged the support of other executive members, solicited for their further support at ensuring improved sensitization for riders.
