OGUN SO-SAFE CORPS APPREHENDS MAN FOR STEALING CHURCH CABLES
 


So-Safe Corps Lotto Divisional Command, Owode Egba Area Command  headed by SC Adeyeri Adeboye while on routine patrol of Lotto axis on Wednesday, 22nd June, 2022 at about 0530hrs suspected one Mr Oni Omotayo to have stolen the cable wires in his possession.

He was thereafter stopped eventhough, he made an attempt to escape arrest but was given a hot chase by specially trained men of the Corps for this purpose.

In a statement issued from the Office of the State Commander of the Corps, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo through the office of the Director of Information and Public Relations of the agency, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf said the suspected thief was caught after the perpetration of the crime and the Headquarters of the Corps instructed the patrol team to interrogate him without torture which was done. But to the patrol team's surprise, he confessed to having stolen the cables around the spot he was nabbed.

Ganzallo also said that It took the team hours to get to the actual place where the cables were stolen as he took them to so many wrong locations before he opened up and mentioned that the crime was perpetrated in Deeper Life Church State Headquarter.

As part of effort to authenticate where it was stolen from, the Corps Commander, Dr. Ganzallo instructed the team to visit the mentioned address where the cables were being stolen, he was however taken to the Church premises.

At the church, the Chief Security Officer and others were surprised and asked him how he managed to escape being caught with the formidable security network of the Church.

The suspect and the exhibit have been transferred to the Nigeria Police, Redeem Police Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and likely prosecution.
