APELOGUN COMMENDS OBASANJO, CALL RICH NIGERIAN TO EMULATE HIS PHILANTHROPIC GESTURE
The National President of Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycles and Tricycles Owners, Riders and Repairers Association ACOMORAN, Prince Samsudeen Apelogun has commended former President Olusegun Obasanjo for his unflinching support for Nigerian youths in the area of economic empowerment which he has once again demonstrated by donating 85 tricycles popularly called Keke to youths across the Nation.
The donation of the tricycles was done by the former president to mark his 85th birthday anniversary held recently in Abeokuta the Ogun State capital.
Prince Apelogun said the former president deserves applause not only for the empowerment of the beneficiaries but for also finding the time out of his very tight schedule to ride one of the tricycles round the state capital picking passengers as a way of demonstrating that the business of tricycle riding is decent and can be embraced by anyone.
The ACCOMORAN president called on the beneficiaries to used the tricycles as an empowerment tools they were meant for to be able to earn decent living for the benefit of they and their loved ones.
Prince Apelogun also called on more Nigerians blessed by the Almighty to consider empowering more youths. These he said would take the youths out of the streets, reduce crime and position them for better tomorrow. He added that following the footsteps of Baba Obasanjo by the high and mighty in our nation work rid the country of high rate of unemployment one youth at a time.
