GOV ABIODUN SWEARS IN DEPUTY CHIEF OF STAFF, DR OLUWATOYIN TAIWO
Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has sworn in Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, and seven new Commissioners, with a charge to ensure that the State’s resources are efficiently utilised in realisation of the ‘ISEYA’ mantra of his administration.
The appointees include; Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo as the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, while the Commissioners are, Engr. Taiwo Oludotun for Forestry, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat, Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, as well as Hon. Motunrayo Adijat Adeleye-Oladapo for the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Others are, Hon. Oladimeji Oresanya, Environment, Mrs. Olufemi Ilori-Oduntan, Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Hon. Abayomi Semako Korotoe-Hunye, Community Development and Cooperatives, with Hon. Jamiu Kolawole Odetoogun as Commissioner for Rural Development.
The Governor, while speaking during the swearing in ceremony at his office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, enjoined the appointees to always be conscious of the responsibility of taking the State to an unprecedented height, saying, ‘’ they are worthy ambassadors of government’s policy of inclusiveness, fairness, transparency, equity, justice and obedience to the rule of law’’.
According to him, "Your action and performance should sternly help our State to blossom, grow well and make our people thrive, these appointments should therefore be seen as a call to service".
Abiodun called on the old and new appointees to redouble their efforts towards the success of the ‘Building Our Future Together’ agenda, lauding the State House of Assembly for the comprehensive background check and timely approval of the nominees.
Responding on behalf of the appointees, Mrs. Ilori-Oduntan, appreciated the Governor for the opportunity given them to serve the people of the State, affirming their commitments to the accomplishment of the present administration’s mission.
