We will Vote and Mobilize for Only Candidate with Agenda for Us -COALITION OF THEATRE ARTS ASSOCIATIONS IN OGUN STATE & OGUN INDIGENE FORUM
The Entire Entertainment Sector in Ogun state under the aegis of the Coalition of Theatre Arts Associations and the Ogun Indigene Entertainment Professionals Forum have come out with their position for the next general elections.
Speaking at a parley in Abeokuta, the Coordinator and the General Secretary of the Ogun Indigene Artiste Forum, Kehinde Soaga(dgn) and the Chairman of the Coalition of Theatre Arts Associations in Ogun State Artistes Otunba Yinka Ola Williams fta, said all Artistes have agreed and resolved to speak in one voice.
Soaga said "Our main focus had been to support Good Governance in Ogun State, Particularly a government that will consider us as stakeholders in the economy and well being of the state"
The entire Artiste Population are estimated to be over 2 million members across the state while numbers of our fans and followers cannot be quantified.
"The Artistes in general have been completely neglected in the state and nation building despite that we are more than the civil servants in Numbers.
All the Chairmen and Artiste Guilds/Associations heads have agreed to this position, in the interest of the Industry.
Our productivity is seen by all, even though the Government does not recognize the sector.
Don't forget that we were completely neglected even during Covid 19 and others of our Challenge times as a people.
As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility Projects, The Coalition of Theatre Arts Associations in Ogun State and Ogun Indigenes Forum are currently Producing lots of sensitisation and communications materials to create awareness to the populace on the coming elections.
Many Guild heads were present at the August meeting with heads of all the Associations in Ogun State, they include, Chief Rasaq Baroka Oyadiran, Owolabi Ajasa and Hafiz Oyetoro and other stakeholders.
