Ember Months: CP Wale Abass Vows To Review Security Architecture Of Delta, Says Crime and Anti-social Behaviour is Dynamic and Has No Pattern

The Delta State Police Commissioner, CP Wale Abass has once again warned criminals to Kick  Out Of the State says crime, criminality and whatever is associated with antisocial behaviour is dynamic, constantly changing and has no pattern, no ethnography, no boundary that he have to review the architecture once again so that Delta will be a home safer and more secure. This as he said professionalism among his men is non negotiable.
Speaking with TMnews, CP Wale Abass stated that he will be working in harmony with other sisters agency in line with the Inspector General of Police policy.

He said he is going to reposition the Force for effective service delivery. “We are going to have robust community policing driven to the hinterlands. Everybody must be involved in policing,” he said.

He advised that policing shouldn’t be only for the police but everybody in the state.

He further observed that community policing engagement is vital for security of lives and properties, calling on stakeholders, CP Wale  solicit for the support of academia, professionals, unions, students and the media.

He underscored the importance of effective communication to achieve effective policing.

He said that he and his men are committed to respect for lives of people and their rights, also promising that rule of law will be upheld.

“We are going to be accountable, each and every officer within the state will be accountable for his action.

“The conduct of officers is going to be reviewed, we are going to have a restructure and review of performances.

“Our direction is to change attitude and platitude of policing as far as policing is concerned, the values of the policemen, we are going to do that.”

He boasted in the crop of commanders at helms of affairs in the state, he said, “We have effective and seasonal officers incharge of departments, they know the terrain.

“We are going to give criminals a hot chase.”

He appealed to all stakeholders, “Let us put our hands on deck to cleanse Delta State.

He advocated that policing is service and that commitment is sacrosanct.

He harped on sharing of information and intelligence gathering to achieve modern policing. He said his outfit will synergise with other security agencies in the states to have a seamless operation.

He urged the media to give accurate information so that “we can safeguard lives and properties.

As regards the ember months, he urged every police officer to be on ground, up and doing. “Complacency, indolence, unprofessionalism, incompetence will not be tolerated.

“We should all be out and chase out criminals. I am telling you the toga is chase out criminals Delta State.
