Dialogue with Journalists: NUJ Sets to Host Reps, Senators in Ogun

The Nigeria Union of Journalists Ogun State Council has expressed readiness to host House of Representative Members and Senators from Ogun State on dialogue with journalists on the one year in office.

The dialogue will feature stewardship and impact made by all the Nine House of Representative Members in Ogun and the three Senators, respectively, with the theme: Dialogue With Ogun Journalists.

This is in line with the core value of the journalism profession, as the fourth estate of the realm, to hold officials on accountability and transparency and ensure full-fledged democracy.

According to a letter sent to all the senators and the House of Representative Members, signed by the Council Secretary, Comrade Bunmi Adigun with the directive of the Chairman of the Council, Comrade Wale Olanrewaju  dated 13th of June.

"In marking this one year in office, the state council of the Union is putting up a program for all the Nine House of Reps members, and the three Senators from Ogun State, tagged "Dialogue with Ogun Journalists" where they will be able to speak to over five hundred journalists in Ogun what you have done in the last one year of representation".

The event will be held between the 24th and 29th of June 2024 at the Iwe-iroyin Press Center Oke ilewo Abeokuta.

The council congratulates all the Hon. Members on the successful completion of their one year in office as a legislator who has impacted in the lives of the people of your constituency through various projects and meaningful development with your contributions at the National Assembly.
