FG BEGINS 64km OTA-IDIROKO ROAD CONSTRUCTION, DEMOLISH BUILDINGS IN OJUORE

The Federal Government has started the demolition of buildings in Ojuore community to make way for the construction of the 64-kilometre Ota-Idiroko road, TMnews report.
Notice of the demolition was said to have been given to the occupants last month.
The demolition of buildings along the ECOWAS road started today, July 4, 2024.

In January, the construction project for the 64-kilometre Ota-Idiroko road, with a budget of N15 billion, was approved, marking a significant step forward in its realization.

This project is one of the major road constructions outlined in the 2024 budget, following an increase in the Ministry of Works’ budget allocation to N1.03 trillion, a substantial rise from the proposed N657.3 billion.

This reflects a 56.7% increase from the original figure and a 65.4% increase from the 2023 budget allocation.
