Renowned Politician, Hon. Bola Lawal SEMBOL and Wife, Honored with Prestigious Chieftaincy Titles in Ibarapa Community  of Egbaland

In a grand ceremony, Honorable Semiu Bola Lawal and his wife, Chief Mrs. Olatokunbo Bola Lawal, were conferred with esteemed chieftaincy titles by the Ibarapa community. Hon. Lawal was bestowed with the titles of Balogun (Arawo)  and Akogun of Ibarapa in Egbaland, while his wife received the titles of Erelu Akogun of Ibarapa and Iyalaje of Arawo

The event, which took place on the 25th of August, 2024, at the Lisabi Court,  Ibara GRA in Abeokuta, Ogun state Capital, was marked by glamour and excitement as the community came together to celebrate the couple's achievements and contributions. The conferment of these titles is a testament to the couple's influence and dedication to the development of Ibarapa community.   The titles are expected to further solidify their roles as leaders and stakeholders in the community.

With these titles, Chief Bola Lawal and his wife, Chief Mrs. Olatokunbo Bola Lawal, join the ranks of distinguished individuals who have been honored by the Ibarapa community Egbaland for their remarkable contributions.

The conferment was performed by Asiwaju of Egbaland, High Chief Maxwell Olawale Ayinla and other high ranking Chiefs.

In his acceptance speech,  Chief Lawal expressed gratitude to God and to the community for the honor and pledged to continue working towards the progress and prosperity of Ibarapa in Egbaland.

The title of Balogun  is the highest chieftaincy honor in the Arawo community, symbolizing strength, courage, leadership, maternal care, wisdom, and community development.

This recognition solidifies the couple's position as respected leaders and pillars of the community, and they are expected to continue playing a vital role in shaping the future of Ibarapa of Egbaland
