Gas Explosion Damages Six Vehicles in Katsina –Police
A gas explosion at a filling station in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State has damaged six vehicles. The explosion occurred on November 15, when a truck carrying gas cylinders erupted at the Tamal Filling Station along the Kagadama-Magamar Jibia road. Police spokesperson ASP Abubakar Sadiq-Aliyu confirmed the incident, stating that officers from the Jibia Divisional Police Headquarters, alongside military personnel, quickly responded to the scene.
The fire, which engulfed the truck, was swiftly contained, preventing further property damage and loss of life. Although six vehicles were significantly damaged, no fatalities were reported. The state’s Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Abubakar-Musa, has ordered a full investigation to determine the cause of the explosion. Updates will be provided as the investigation progresses, according to Sadiq-Aliyu.
