Breaking: Otudeko’s Counsel Protests Over Alleged N12.3bn Fraud Charges in Court

The legal representative for Honeywell Group Chairman, Oba Otudeko, has protested the charges brought against his client at the Federal High Court in Lagos.

Mr. Bode Olanipekun (SAN), appearing for Otudeko and two other defendants, argued on Monday that the charges had not been officially served on them.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) filed a 13-count charge against Otudeko, former FirstBank Managing Director Olabisi Onasanya, former Honeywell board member Soji Akintayo, and a company, Anchorage Leisure Ltd.

The EFCC alleges that the defendants fraudulently obtained N12.3 billion under false pretenses.

Further details to follow.
