ROYAL VANGUARD CLUB COMMITTED TO CREATE SOCIETY FREE FROM SCOURGE OF DRUG ABUSE, ERECTS AWARENESS BILLBOARD

 The Royal Vanguard of Nigeria club, in its quest to create a safer and healthier environment, has been working tirelessly, using evidence-based approaches and community-led initiatives to promote positive behavioural change, support the well-being of the communities and creating a society free from the scourge of drug abuse thereby supporting the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA on War Against Drugs Abuse, WADA has erected a bill board in Idiroko, Ipokia Local Government Area of Ogun State to Campaign against the use of illicit drugs.


The President of the Club, Vanguard Hamed Adetona with some members, Vanguard Otunba Olawale Erinle, Van Kazeem Adubi, Van Tunde Alex, Van Bayo Onifade, the Commander incharge of Idiroko Unit, Segun Adeyeye and DC Olasunbo Akande who represented the Chairman of the drug law agency, Brig Gen. Buba Marwa (Rtd.), representative of the Oba Oniko of Ikolaje Idiroko, Chief Daniel Edun (Balogun of Idiroko) and the President of Drug free CDS, Master Alabi Ifeoluwa (Batch A and B 2024) were all present during the erection of the billboard early today. This is regarded as one of the initiatives under the Corporate Social Responsibilities in the year 2025.

The billboard with the inscription DEAD means (Drug Ends All Dreams) aimed at engaging the community members to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and promote healthy lifestyles, and most especially, to reach thousands of students/ youths, equipping them with the knowledge necessary to make informed decision about substance use.
